In Chinese tradition, the exact moment you were born carries a unique mix of the five elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water). This quick test reads your birth chart (BaZi, the “four pillars” of year, month, day and hour) and shows which elements are strong in you, then turns that into personal color suggestions.
Your birth chart has eight characters — two for each pillar (year, month, day, hour). Each character carries one of the five elements. We count how much of each element appears, weight the hidden stems inside the branches, and see whether your “day master” (the element of your birth day) is strong or gentle.
Once we know your day master and its strength, we pick the elements that balance you — your favorable elements (喜用神) — and map them to color families: Wood = greens and teals, Fire = reds and purples, Earth = yellows and browns, Metal = whites and golds, Water = blacks and blues. Those become your personal lucky colors.
Your five elements come from your birth date and time. The test builds your BaZi chart (four pillars) and counts how much Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water appear, then tells you your strongest element and your “day master”.
The daily tool follows the energy of today’s date, so its colors change every day. This test follows your birth chart, so your personal colors stay the same for you. Many people use both: a stable personal palette plus a daily accent.
The birth time gives the hour pillar, which adds one more element to your chart and improves accuracy. If you don’t know it, the test still works using noon as a default — just a little less precise.
Not exactly. The zodiac sign comes from your birth year, while this test reads all four pillars and centers on your day master. Your year sign and your day master can be different elements.
